Dear Attendees,
We are pleased to invite you to our 4th Symposium in Miami, Florida.
This year, LD TECHNOLOGY is proud to present several new medical applications that we have had the chance to develop throughout the year and we will also share our new project for 2012 with you.
Between 2010 and 2011 the LD TECHNOLOGY team managed to receive 3 new FDA 510K approvals for the products EIS-GS, ESO and ES-BC, opening new opportunities in the use and promotion of our biosensors.
We also completed several clinical investigations in Miami University and UNICAMP University.
With a total of 7 clinical investigations, LD TECHNOLOGY has published 4 studies in prestigious journals this year, and completed 2 new research projects.
Results of these new studies are very impressive and open new medical applications of great importance.
Therefore, LD TECHNOLOGY and its team decided to design new software and improve the management of the data recorded by the different technologies.
The company will have also pleasure in introducing its 2012 project and launching TELEMEDICINE.
Over the last 5 years, LD TECHNOLOGY products and strategies has aimed to improve the quality of care by providing primary care doctors, health care practitioners, nursing homes and hospitals with non-invasive, fast and low cost medical biosensors to understand patients’ physiological responses.
By improving screening, monitoring of treatment effectiveness and by assisting physicians in their therapeutic management plans, LD TECHNOLOGY expects to improve therapeutic control of major pandemic diseases, like diabetes, hypertension, metabolic syndrome, hepatitis and prostate cancer and therefore participate in decreasing the costs of health care systems.
We look forward to seeing you at this new symposium and to sharing the new opportunities of LD TECHNOLOGY products and services with you.
Sincerely
LD Team

Estimation of Cardiac Output using the Electro Sensor Oxi (E.S Oxi) Device

Final Report 05.03.2011
LD Technology Received US FDA 510K for the E.S BC system
The Electro Sensor Oxi (ES Oxi) is a device used to display the SPo2 %, the digital pulse wave form (photoplethysmography) and heart rate detection. The wave form and heart rate variability analysis provides specific algorithm to estimate the cardiac output. The objective of this study was to compare the ES Oxi algorithm to a standardized assessment of cardiac output. Fifty-one subjects between 18 and 65 years of age were assessed by the ES Oxi and the BioZ Dx devices. The correlations between the ES Oxi and the BioZ Dx were very high (r=0.693 (p < 0.0001) at baseline, r=0.79 (p < 0.0001) after the first exercise stage, and r=0.86 (p < 0.0001) after the second exercise stage, respectively), suggesting that the ES Oxi algorithm has predictive capability of cardiac output. The results of the study suggest that the ES Oxi device is a very useful, safe, fast, and non-invasive way of estimating CO.
Jackson Memorial Hospital is an accredited, non-profit, tertiary care hospital and the major teaching facility for the University of Miami Leonard M. Miller School of Medicine. With more than 1,550 licensed beds, Jackson Memorial Hospital is a referral center, a magnet for medical research, and home to Ryder Trauma Center - the only adult and pediatric Level 1 trauma center in Miami-Dade County.
